Our client is a product of a joint venture between public and private sector companies and is the operator of gas pipelines transportation gas across 4 countries in the West African Sub region. In a bid to reinforce the commitment to its mode of operation in terms of safety, quality, research and resourcefulness, the company’s requires the services of the following personnel:
JOB TITLE:   Mechanical/Pipeline Engineer: Badagry Mpe@Kimberly-ryan.net
REPORTS TO: Engineering and Maintenance Manager
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Implementation of Company HES and Security Policies to ensure safe work environment,
  • Mechanical Engineering: General and Pipeline Systems Engineering and R and M Facilities: (5 stations),
  • Policy and Procedure and Operational Excellence,
  • Finance and Resource Planning and Management,
  • Operational reports for Management Decision Making: Prepare routine Electrical and Instrument Facilities asset integrity report,
  • People Management and Organization: Oversee work schedules and ensure that there is adequate coverage for all Electrical and Instrument tasks for operations and maintenance activities.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Good Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Instrument Engineering
  • A minimum of 7-years relevant working experience.
  • Operations experience with electronic instrumentation, Electrical and Instrument Facilities Engineering, specifications and Operations, Hazard (HES) management, gas measurement vendor management skills, project management , people management and leadership, budget management, competence assessment, change management, report writing and presentation skills.
  • Decisive thinker, skilled influencer and comfortable with dealing with all level of management Articulate information clearly.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide engineering support for technical/operations of an export gas pipeline complete with associated compression facilities,
  • Work closely with other discipline engineers and operations personnel to define, examine implications and propose, specify and design/re-design new facilities and/or facilities modifications to achieve operations objectives and adequately transport gas of specified quality to designated customers,
  • Provide process engineering input into projects by reviewing design calculations, reports, drawings and ensuring standards are following including an understanding of relevant API, ASME and other relevant API specifications,
  • Coordinate periodic assessments and audits, in accordance with pre-determined timeline and industry best practices, to assure effective process safety practices within the company and reduce high consequence incidents in company operations.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,
  • Minimum 7 years post qualification relevant work experience in an operating environment,
  • Vast knowledge of the applications of Process engineering to operational excellence,
  • Good multi-discipline experience of Oil and Gas projects from conceptual design through detail engineering to commission and operations,
  • Safety consciousness: proven expertise of process safety issues in Oil and Gas operations and a track record of safe operations in previous assignments.
