A consulting firm is recruiting to fill this role with a qualified candidate.
Group Accounts Manger:
the employee will be responsible for the preparing the Financial
accounts for the organization and ensuring the financial integrity of
the statutory accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing P&L and balance sheet reports
- Responsible for dealing with day to day cash management
- Assist with the audit preparation work to allow for timely completion of the annual financial statements and corporation tax returns
- Maintaining records and reconciliation controls of approved budgets
- Year end income and expenditure forecasts
- Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance & accounts team.
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows
- Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
- Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports

- Cash management and treasury duties
- Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
- Overseeing the Payroll process
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- The ideal applicant should be able to consolidate monthly project activity reports from Principal Consultants.
- Challenge variances and inconsistencies to ensure accuracy of data.
- Ensure appropriate systems and controls in place to drive accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate coding of costs to projects to ensure accurate GP reporting by project and identification of rechargeable costs.
- Own the monthly forecasting process and the annual business planning process.
- Create feedback loop to increase accuracy of future forecasts.
- Provide insightful MI to give better understanding of business and to help drive improved performance.
- Challenge Senior Management as appropriate and identify issues requiring further investigation.
- Produce financial models to support bid pricing and other commercial analysis.
- Oversee effective credit control and tight working capital management.
- Risk Management skills & Reporting and Maintenance of a Risk Register for the business and other key projects, which will usually be updated monthly or quarterly, as appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements of the role:
- Minimum of a degree.
- You must be a Qualified ACA / ACCA and educated to degree standard.
- Minimum 5 years experience, excellent business planning, forecasting and bid modeling expertise, which must be demonstrated throughout your CV. In return a competitive salary and benefits package to match is available.
- You must have working knowledge of monthly reconciliations whilst analyzing and identifying opportunities for development within existing control procedures.
- High awareness of current technical accounting and reporting requirements
- Computer literate with good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles.
