THE ORGANIZATION:
Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPN) is a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation and one of the largest oil producers in Nigeria. With a long and established history of operations, the company’s oil & natural gas production activities is a major source of revenue for the Nigerian government and economy.
We are recruiting Security Coordinators with the highest standards of integrity, the ability to build strong working relationships and effectively interact in a multi-cultural environment.
POST TITLE:   Security Coordinator

THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Manager Security, the incumbent of this position will coordinate the Company’s security operations, investigation, and intelligence activities to ensure alignment with local business requirements and Exxon Mobil’s global standards.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other responsibilities may include:
  • Executive Protection,
  • Routine engagement with assigned Government Security forces,
  • Guard force management and emergency response,
  • Gathering intelligence, collation, analysis and interpretation,
  • Monitoring and evaluating security threats to business,
  • Ensuring compliance with Company security expectations and standards,
  • Liaison with host communities and other stakeholders to be part of the company’s security solution.
THE CANDIDATES:

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second class upper division (2.1) in Law, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Mathematics/Statistics and Computer Science,
  • 2-3 years’ experience is desirable,
  • Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry or multinational is desirable,
  • Successful candidates are required to have a deep understanding of the Company’s security, expectations, community and other stake-holder security-related sensitivities, and demonstrate the following:
  • Organizational skills and leadership potential,
  • Strong written and oral communication skills,
  • Understanding of Nigeria security challenges,
  • Ability to create and manage formal and informal networks for security solutions.
SALARY/REMUNERATION: This position offers a competitive compensation and benefit package commensurate with what is obtainable in the upstream oil & gas industry.
